Why should I invest in a Christian education for my child?
It’s all about worldview! Public Education curricula is based upon a secular humanistic worldview. This worldview makes no room for a loving God in our world or in the life of a child. At Ivy League Christian Academy, we instill God’s perspective of our world, into the heart and mind of each student.
Will Ivy League Christian Academy provide my child with a quality education?
Absolutely! Ivy League Christian Academy students, along with the students of most Christian Schools, consistently perform higher academically than Public School students. Ivy League Christian Academy uses Christian based, advanced & curricula that challenge students to excel. Students score an average of 2 grade levels above the national average.
Is Ivy League Christian Academy accredited?
Yes. We are fully accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) and by AdvancED Virginia/ SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools)
Are your teachers certified?
Yes, through ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International)
Is Financial Aid available?
Unfortunately, we do not have financial aide available. However, we do offer a 10% discount to active duty military and first responder families.
What church is affiliated with Ivy League Christian Academy?
Ivy League Christian Academy is an independently owned private Christian school; however, Ivy League Christian Academy has a great working partnership with VB1, Virginia Beach First Church of the Nazarene, as we are located on the premises and some staff have chosen to attend the church for their grounded biblical foundation and presence of the Holy Spirit. What is the grading scale?
A+ 99-100, A 96-98, A- 94-95, B+ 91-93, B 88-90, B- 85-87, C+ 82-84, C 79-81, C- 77-78, D+ 74-76, D 70-73, F 0-69.
What is the cutoff date for admission to Kindergarten?
A student must be five years old by September 30th of the current school year.
Does the academic level of a student determine admission?
Incoming students may be tested and records from any previous schools will be requested before entry. Ivy League Christian Academy can only accept students that we are equipped to help. We make every effort to offer a variety of learning styles to meet the needs of every student.
What curriculum is used?
ABEKA for Preschool and K5. 1st through 3rd grade primarily use Abeka and Bob Jones Press for History and Science. Grades 6th -12th use primarily Bob Jones Press.
What are the graduation requirements?
A minimum of 24 credits is required in grades 9-12. Students planning to go to college will need 26 credits (an extra course in Math, Science, and Foreign Language).

Do Ivy League Christian Academy students wear uniforms?

Are there book fees?
Yes. Preschool-3 year old $250; Preschool-4 year old-$285; Kindergarten-5 year old-$285; 1st-12th- $385
Is there a registration fee for new students?
Application fee $50.00 and Enrollment fee $200.00
How much is the Re-Enrollment fee for returning students?
$85 by 4/15 | $150 after 4/15
